When we talk about the classic tuxedoed penguin, with its mostly black body and white belly, the Antarctic Adélie Penguin surely fits the bill. Made popular by cartoons, the Adélie Penguin, Pygoscelis adeliae, was named after the wife (Adéle) of a French explorer.
